I think this country is in the state it is because over generations of time Christians have turned the other way and just ignored what was happening, or they have reacted in extreme, ungodly ways that just gave them a bad rep of "crazy" (ie abortion bombers). THERE IS A MIDDLE GROUND, and there is A TIME and A PLACE for God's people to STAND UNITED and have a SANE, POWERFUL VOICE. How wonderful it is to see Christians across our nation join forces to make a presence, and to say "We are still here and we still hold this country to God's standards". I am so glad you wrote this blog response. It encourages my heart!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6816791787393705956.post-77329398930456919282012-08-02T07:08:55.767-04:002012-08-02T07:08:55.767-04:00Totally and completely agree with you! No one I saw at our local CFA was loud or rude or disrepectful in any way - they were just out supporting free speech and a company willing to stand behind their Christian values.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18130395080716366052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6816791787393705956.post-1731275566096705322012-08-02T06:55:46.435-04:002012-08-02T06:55:46.435-04:00Excellent article. I had wanted to respond with a blog as well - but you said everything so well, I'm just referring everyone here! Great response, well thought out, and very balanced! What makes it so hard, though, is when it becomes personal, when the other person/side chooses to misunderstand, misrepresent, etc., and then you begin to think that they will never hear you. Of course, like you said, we just need to do God's will first and foremost. Thanks for this today.Meghan Carverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12171644527417702921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6816791787393705956.post-47272548912876709742012-08-01T16:11:25.099-04:002012-08-01T16:11:25.099-04:00Yes, Laura. Is she saying that by eating a CFA today and then posting on FB that I am just being loud? We are part of an army and are told "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, TO STAND." Ephesians 6:13 (emphasis mine) I am not yelling or name calling, but I am standing. Sometimes the enemy of our souls needs to be reminded that there is an army standing behind the Commander and His generals and captains. We may not be called to be in charge of a large troop, but we are there to intimidate by our physical presence. I think we ceased to be intimidating a long time ago and just became like an army of boneless chickens! I don't need to be angry or condescending; I just need to stand when I hear the call resonate within me.Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08584931999590532413noreply@blogger.com
